I wonder how long it takes to install new turf. Can't take more than a week, can it?

As you know everything at Troy takes forever to finish, so your guess is as good as anyones. Unfortunately, I don't see them replacing the turf this summer. That'll most likely happen once they start on the complex. I really want new turf down at VMS before Navy and Mississippi State come to town. Preferably with Coach Blakeney's name right in the middle! 04-rock

I would be shocked if the turf is replaced before the new football complex. The fundraising push right now is towards getting the complex done.

It's great seeing various SBC schools updating their stadiums in the near future. I really hope they replace the turf at Troy. The half-assed covering of Movie Gallery is an eye soar and the field itself is fading.

ASU has been playing with NT a long time. Some of the ASU fans still call them NTSU. As I said it was an ASU fan on an ASU message board. Stop freaking out! I know Troy State is still new to the conference but some of us have been together a long time even in other conferences.

I was a student at TROY STATE for two years before the name change. I took part in the "Keep the State" campaign on campus when they first announced the name change.

RE: ASU looking at 10-20 million stadium upgrade
Our turf was around $600,000 privately funded (the first one) that included a lot of site prep that doesn't have to be done the second time.

Second turf was paid for in an insurance settlement because the first one got messed up from a drainage problem.

VT money was used to outfit the football complex and add a digital game film system.
