I'll shout it out,Steve finally won the tournament. But, when I made that post I wasn't wrong, he hadn't won one at that point.
I thought you had said that it was your opinion that we would never win the tournament as long as he was coaching here. I apologize if I misinterpreted what you said.

Your probably right about that. I think I may have said that at one time. Obviously wrong on that one since most all consider playing in that game as making the tournament. I don't, but I'll yield to the majority, but let's just see how long it takes him to do it again.
Evidently when I made that statement, I didn't know the rabbits foot that you guys gave him for the Sun Belt tournament came from a "jack rabbit." Some of you guys that are real close to Steve, should get him to go to Las Vegas(can't go to Tunica, it's under water)with you, and as lucky as he was last season, you might come home with a bundle.
Nothing would make me happier than winning the tournament again and going to the tournament without having to play in a play-in game. I don't consider that making the tournament if you lose in a play-in game. Even UAPB got in because they won the play-in game. I want the Trojans to have been good enough that they don't have to play in that game, even if we're a #16 seed.
Now, one more time, I WAS WRONG TO SAY THAT STEVE WOULD NEVER GET US TO THE NCAA TOURNAMENT, AND STEVE WON THE SUN BELT TOURNAMENT, AND IS ON HIS WAY TO BEING THE GREATEST COACH IN UALR HISTORY, EVEN GREATER THAN MIKE NEWELL. Happy now Mickey? I can't say it any louder. That's the biggest text size they have on this site.

I think he still needs a couple of wins to pass Newell. Then you can say he's the greatest and only UALR coach to win a tournament not held in Little Rock.

Mickey, you're a very bright guy, so you and I both know that I was "joking" about who is the "greatest." I doubt that you'll ever hear me say that unless said in jest. Shields isn't in Newell's class as a basketball coach. He obviously will surpass him in wins, that's inevitable, but in eight plus years. Sidney might have broken it if he'd stayed long enough.
