I have NO sympathy for these girls. What they did was low life thuggery. I said they went to far. And had said "She didn't deserve this" earlier.

Maybe instead of

"Girls" was meant as any girls, not these specific girls. Like I said, any grandmother or even these thugs, if they had just chased him out, would have had my support. These girls lost me when "They just went to far."

Hope I'm not making things more confusing. There's a reason I usually stick to short,simple posts.

The question is, could this conflict be resolved without anyone getting the crap kicked out of them?

The answer of course, is yes. It is always yes.

I find it difficult to imagine a context that makes the behavior of the aggressors appropriate.

By early evening, the video had received more than 500,000 views on one site alone.

County police confirmed that the attack occurred April 18 in the 6300 block of Kenwood Ave. Police said the 14-year-old girl has been charged as a juvenile, while charges were pending against an 18-year-old woman.

Equality Maryland said the victim is a transgender woman and called on state Attorney General Douglas F. Gansler to step in and investigate the case as a hate crime. Police and prosecutors said they did not know whether the victim is a transgender woman.

"It does appear that the victim was a transgender woman, and she was brutalized while people stood by and watched," said Lisa Polyak, vice president of the board of directors for Equality Maryland, an advocacy organization that fought unsuccessfully in the past legislative session for greater protections for transgender individuals. "There's no excuse for that violence under any circumstances, but we would encourage police to investigate as a hate crime."

The police report does not provide a motive, but quotes one of the suspects saying that the fight was "over using a bathroom."

As the video spread online, McDonald's acknowledged that the attack had occurred in a Baltimore-area restaurant and said it was working with local police.

What is this world coming to? really? beat up a young girl while you have 4-5 young kids through the ages of 2-12 presumably. even 2 of his own

The question becomes, are these acts of street violence becoming more common, or are there just easier ways of distributing them to a mass audience (facebook and youtube, the biggest culprits)?

As disturbing as the fights are, what I find even more disturbing in a lot of these videos is how onlookers see it as entertainment and something to joke about and send to friends.

Doing the morally right thing is more important than a minimum-wage job. Considering the backlash that would have occurred had they fired him, I don't think they would have taken that chance at firing what would be known as a "hero".

Personally, I'd have rather someone armed stood up, assessed the situation, determined that the kid was going into seizure and about to die, determined it to be attempted murder (A felony), and shot the pieces of ****. Liberal media up to usual standards. In numerous reports nothing was stated about the attackers being black and the victim white. To their liberal credit that did reference the fact the victim was TG.

Tell me how many reports of white on black crime where the race of the attackers and victim were omitted. I can't think of one of the top of my head. In fact, the race of the attackers being white is usually included in the first two sentences.

Do you really need to be told what color everyone in the video is?
