Fun game to watch, Decker is a real nice QB. Without the turnovers at big points UNH was solid. Our line dominated for the most part tho.
Besides the actual game - we had a great time.
We went to Tony Packo's for lunch and then to the Docks for some pre-tailgating beverages. Really enjoyed hanging out along the river and watching some big boats go by. Stayed at the Crown Plaza downtown. Thought downtown was nice; however, it was soooo quiet. Also, was amazed at how many homes/businesses were boarded up on our way to the stadium. Economy surely has not been kind to Toledo.
Started tailgating right at 4 in Lot 25. Impressed with the student tent and student turnout.
I was with a group of fans that also went to our game vs. Ball State a couple years ago and the general consensus was that the Glass Bowl felt wayyy more big time than Ball States stadium. Ball States stadium felt like some of the larger FCS venue we have been to. The Glass Bowl did not - especially with the big crowd and night game. Man, your press box/luxury box is HUGE!! Also, it was really really hot and humid. Did not expect that at all.
Obviously dissapointed by UNH's performance. Never felt like they were able to even get started because they kept shooting themselves in the foot at the worst possible times. I think the game may have gone differently if that Kick return had not been called back. Not to say UNH would have won by any means as I thought it was clear you guys were the bigger, stronger, faster team; however, if we were able to hang a little bit better and actually make a game of it, who knows.
Definitely rooting for you guys the rest of the way!!
Good luck and thanks for all the advice that made it a fun trip.
