RE: EMU's Ramsey Let Go
There are purportly 40 or more names. Some more names: Cornell Mann, Dwayne Stephens, Tony Harvey.

It will be interesting to see how many $$$ EMU wants to spend. We may end up hiring a young assistant coach.

Lots of quality names for the job.

IF $ is an issue, EMU could do a laddered approach to salary in the contract.

E.g., 250K first year, 275K second year, etc. or use a more modest starting salary range but use a lot of incentives.

Dr. Gragg could be looking at FIVE (or more) D-I HCs: Boylen, Lickliter, Fife, Harvey, and Joplin.

I just do NOT see a D-I assistant getting the job. My opinion.

And yet very few MAC schools have had success hiring recycled D-I HC's. Coles an exception and Dambrot who lost his first D-I job at CMU for non-basketball reasons.

Jury's out on Orr- he did win a MAC title- and Kowaczyk will be successful I believe but I'm not sure the jury has even been impaneled.

I could change my handle to 'Steve-formerly of Ypsilanti (and MI)' but the gov wouldn't like the negativity...

RE: EMU's Ramsey Let Go
According to the Detroit News, two more candidates have pulled out of EMU's search. They're down to D II schools. Why is it so hard for EMU to get a good coach? Good facilities, good location, decent budget...

Actually, it appears that at least one candidate might be a strong favorite and others are reading the handwriting on the wall.

If I were a betting man I'd guess Todd Lickliter will be the man selected.
