Yeah, I like it also. I live 45 minutes from UCA and have been to only a few games but I will go and see at least one this coming season. I really like the fact that they alternated the colors.

No kidding.

I know there are the purists out there that want grass color, but personally I don't have a problem with it.

What's wrong with giving your stadium and field some personality?

No he's totally right, they also took the time and money to set up fake interviews with UCA administration....

My cousin plays football for Central Arkansas and he posted that photo on his facebook saying that he liked it. I think it looks stupid.

Well, that's a stupid way to pull an April fool's joke.

"Hey guys, I know its April 1st, but this is not a joke. I promise."

Tim at this point my ability to grasp sarcasm over the internet is totally shot, so I will apologize if you were also being sarcastic, but my comments were totally in jest. You're initial response to his post was perfect.

I like that idea much better than the solid 'red' or 'blue'. At least the alternating colors are easier on the eyes.

I'll tell you what's wrong with it. It's an interesting gimmick, but that's about it.

It's like wearing a clown suit to a job interview.

Sure. It will get you noticed. But it won't get you respect.

I'd love for the NCAA to put a stop to all this **** and make teams like Boise play on natural colored surfaces.

But that's just me.

I'd go a step farther. Instead of grass color, how about actual GRASS? That's the way football is meant to be played. Outdoors on real, live grass.

Rivals Article
I like it better than any off green field that I have ever seen. The alternating colors do come together well. Would think it would be an asset to the program. Boise did OK with their blue field, even though I still have trouble watching their games sometimes. Eastern Washington installed that red field and won the FCS championship just after doing so. Hard to believe but it seems to help those programs. We are lowering our field this off season and installing new polyturf but it is alternating green colors every five yards. Couldn't see us putting in alternating Gold and Black, seems like it would be a little too much.
At least when you turn on a TV and see the field you know where they are playing, and you think about that school.
