Yet look at it now.

I heard someone commenting the other day how it was a shame that Michael Crichton was not alive to write or comment about the ongoing crisis with the reactors, since so much of his fiction revolved around "things like this" and the never-ending human effort to control things that can't be controlled. Which is not to say that he was or would have been "against" nuclear power. I don't know how he felt about that, but I suspect he would have looked favorably on the idea. Just would have been interesting to hear his take on it, is all.
