Scratch Rod Barnes off the list
He was hired by Cal State Bakersfield yesterday. Realistically, I don't think he was ever a serious candidate. I also think now that Matta will stay at the high school level based on his quote to the Marietta paper yesterday.

Honestly McCullum sounds like a great candidate. I would love to see him named head coach or someone with similar resume. He has experience, gets results in the classroom, and has competed in the CUSA and Big East as head coach and ass. in the ACC. He doesn't have the most impressive W-L record, but he would probably be above par in the A-Sun and Par in whatever conference we moved to. Not a bad pick for today and the near future.

Just my opinion but I don't want to see a coach with a losing record take over. There are better candidates.

Count me in the crowd that doesn't want someone who has been around the block and proven that they are mediocre. Would much rather take a shot with some young blood or new blood and see what we have. Perhaps it is the success that Butler and VCU are having with young coaches that spurs this, but it is pretty clear that with the right coach great things can happen for a program.
