FSU 45 Notre Dame 26
I feared FSU's defense would shut down Notre Dame, and it's happening.

Horrid performance by ND. This BEast is takin' it on the chin this tourney. And Barkley won't shut his pie hole about it either. 03-puke

Sadly, if Notre Dame loses, we'll have 2 BEAST teams in the SW16, and those two got their by beating other Big East teams. We will have lost ALL of our OOC games in the round of 32.

That would be a dreadful result, so Barkley would have no reason to shut up. If we want him to shut up, we have to win games. 03-banghead

Yep. Horrible performance by the conference up to now. All those wannabe alpha dogs of this conference is all talk with nothing backing them up.

Guess who has to carry this conference yet again? We got one of the youngest team in the nation and here we are. It is the same old story.

I'm rooting for you and Marquette, but quit the bull acting job like you "carry the league" every year. As I pointed out this weekend, UConn failed to even make the tournament 2 of the last 5 years and lost to a 13 seed in one other year. Failing to win a game in the tournament 3 of the last 5 years is not "same old story".

it's just one of those years it happens, i really thought the BE as a whole was going to make some noise in the tournament, but it is what it is. at least we still got uconn and marquette to root for, we need both teams to step up big time.

Maybe there's something to the theory that the BE beats up on itself too much during the season. In a 16-team league with and 18-game conference schedule, there's rarely a day off.

I never thought we had a national champion in the league this year. I did think we would still have a lot of teams around in the Sweet 16 (at least 5). I had no idea who, but thought one of those would make the Final 4. That could still happen but the odds are reduced greatly with only 2 of 16 and 1 of those being Marquette who never showed the regular season consistency that is normally needed for a Final 4 run.

You might want to tame it a bit. You beat one of our own to get in to field of 16....and you are just on a hot streak. If you want the rest of us to back UConn I'd harness the chest pumping a bit.

Nothing to do with chest pumping. I would much prefer some of our teams win for a change. I wish I was wrong about certain teams choking. It is pathetic what rest of the conference has done so far. It is a joke some of these wannabe alpha dogs not only lose to lower seeded teams annually, but in the 1st round also.

SFHusky... Why can't you be happy that UConn is in the Sweet 16. The Big East is overrated, so just enjoy your ride while it lasts. I'd be happy if Pitt carried the league. You just seem to be a sore winner.

I don't think The BEast is overrated. But then again, I don't panic. Some of you guys sound like old women discussing ED...
