Let's face it. The MAC doesn't want a Ball St - WMU final. In fact they won't want either of those teams in the final when they can have a Kent St-Akron, which will sell way more tickets.

I don't expect one call from the refs tonight. We better shoot lights out cause we are gonna get royally screwed by the refs, guaransheed.

You're right, those refs want to put their careers and reputation on the line and risk being featured and embarrassed on sportscenter like the big east officials to sell a few more tickets for the MAC. I completely agree.

Won't matter. This game will not get more then 10 sec of coverage on Sportscenter either way.

Actually the final will get no more then 10 sec. This game won't be on Sportscenter at all. The refs are in the clear and the fix will be in.

You're right, the only way it does make SC is with a controversy like a "fix." Talks of refs fixing the game reeks of an excuse for a loss before the game is already played. Be confident. Western was able to cruise to a win yesterday resting some guys while Akron had a 3 hour marathon.

I'm not trying to make excuses for a loss, just saying WMU has an uphill battle on their hands in what essentially will be a road game. Nothing about this setting tonight (crowd, refs, etc) will be "neutral".

My fear with Akron is they have a couple of lights out shooters in McClanahan and McNeese, and McKnight has range too. The first two have pure strokes. Abrehue isn't far behind.

If were'd going to win this game we have to win it defensively, and have a hand in their face. Make them exaust themselves (their already exhausted for 2OT) running through screens to get open looks. Use your depth. Don't worry about fouling Stainbrook out, have him fight Marshall for position from the beginning till the end. When he's gone do the same with Conteh.

In the final ten minutes have a guard leak out and try to get the break going. I'm guessing they'll be pretty gassed by the final ten minutes of tonights game, and that's got to be winning time.

I agree with most of that, save the refs. As an official myself, trying work my way up the ranks (i currently do junior college) I know how refs operate and their motivations. These guys are trying to bump up to officiate the big ten and other bigger conferences. They want to see themselves on sportscenter like anyone else would. Wether WMU or Akron wins is the least of their concerns.

With about an hour to game time, I'm getting very antsy. Can't wait to watch our Broncos (hopefully) gut out another W!

Pre game show is already on STO. They actually do a great job of covering this tourney.

I'm recording their pregame show because they'll black me out once the game starts. I actually shelled out all of $7 to watch on all-MACcess. Hope it works and I don't get screwed. I'm sure they will be streaming the STO TV feed, only I'll be a minute behind.
