Man, the quad has been super dead lately. Not even a single thread on Egypt or Libya. I guess it's the excitement of baseball!
Here is a blog some of you may enjoy if you are not aware of it. I'll admit I'm partially posting it here because they're on an "awareness campaign" which I 100% agree with.
But also this recent entry on the senators that voted FOR bailouts but against the Kauffman-Brown SAFE act is interesting (includes KBH, for starters).

Enjoy.
I don't think Kauffman-Brown is the best way to achieve the objective. That's partly because my attitude toward "too big to fail" is "let them fail, we'll survive."
I would never have voted for TARP, though, so I'm excluded from the club on that basis. And for those who want to argue that TARP was a success because some of the money is getting paid back, I would note that the objective of TARP was to get banks lending again--and so far, they're not.

KBH wasn't wrong all the time, but I admit I won't be sorry to see her go.

On a slight tangent about former Senators...
Well, hopefully they understand that us "kids" aren't listening to Enema Man and Snoopy Snoopy Poop Dogg, like former Wyoming Senator Alan Simpson recently accused us young whippersnappers of listening to.
Quote:If they [the elderly] care at all about their children or grandchildren, and sometimes I doubt that – I think, you know, grandchildren now don’t write a thank-you for the Christmas presents, they’re walking on their pants with the cap on backwards listening to the Enema Man and Snoopy Snoopy Poop Dogg, and they don’t like them.
Sounds like this guy.
