A ripe target, but I fear that it wouldn't work as satire, for this reason: the response from Northwestern officialdom makes pretty clear that Northwestern is incapable of embarrassment, and you can't really embarrass people who are incapable of embarrassment.

Pretty clearly some people are embarrassed by this incident. Just not the NU administration. Which should actually make this a prime topic of the MOB show.

Oh come on... hey any student built mechanical device employing a motor, piston, cams and push rods used for novel purposes.... why not?

Does anyone think the MOB will actually make it to Northwestern this year? I'd guess not, but I'd love it if they did since I'm moving to Chicago and this will likely be the only Rice game I'm able to attend this year.

Perhaps the show should just be off-topic, starting with a line about not wanting to poke fun at such a peer institution or not having been supplied with any good material by Northwestern, but then proceed to include as many phallic props and double entendres as possible into a show about mundane topics.

Really like texd's idea. Think it would be very humorous if done right.

The MOB would never make jokes about the size of a fellow institution's ... endowment. That would be beneath them.
