I'd like to see everyone's predictions. Mine aren't all that exciting since I literally picked every high seed to win, but that's how I see it happening. We'll see. Reply with your own predictions of how the tournament will play out.

1st Round
KSU v. Belmont
Campbell v. ETSU
North Florida v. Jacksonville
Mercer v. Lipscomb

2nd Round
Lipscomb v. Belmont

Belmont, ETSU, Mercer and UNF win in the first round; Belmont and ETSU advance to finals and Belmont wins.

Really went out on a limb there Byrdistheword.... every seed holds in every match-up? I wonder if that's ever happened in the history of the league? I wouldn't bet on that in this league.... Belmont almost lost to Upstate, remember?? This will be a fun tournament. No prediction from me, I'm just hoping for a Mercer run on the home floor. The final home game against Lipscomb was nearly a sell-out (almost 2800 in a 3200 seat venue). The student section has been rocking lately. It's gonna be a great environment when MU is on the floor.

EDIT -- I was bored and checked the ASUN records. They actually make it easy to find out that: Since 1979 only 1 time (1998) have all the seeds held up in the tournament. I highly doubt this will be #2.

Not trying to be a homer here but I just don't see anyone else that can match the depth that Belmont has this year. With 3 games in 4 days there are going to be some heavy legs out on the court come Saturday. I could see Mercer beating Lipscomb and UNF beating J'ville but that's about it for me.

Bruinator, while I like your optimism...lets take it one game at a time. Anything can happen and I am not overlooking Kennesaw. Depth does play to our advantage but we have come close to losing some close ones.

Love BU's depth, but experience plays a critical role come tournament time. IF we make it to the finals, this will be our 5th championship game in as many years. Like Hoosbruin, I don't want to put the proverbial cart before the horse.

I see that Mercer's spring break is next week. Other than the first round, I doubt you guys get the student support that we would expect otherwise. Regardless of anything else, I can't wait until it all starts tomorrow.

I have my predictions up on my site.

http://www.arenafanatic.com/2011-confere...tions.html

I think the potential of a second round game of Belmont vs Libscomb is going to be great.

To bad the tournament is in Mercer.
Nashville would of been a great location for it.

I have Belmont winning it all though.
