Sad IS XILAS HURT?
I've never seen him play like he has the last two games, what's up with him?

I'm hearing shoulder, hammy? Something is wrong with him for sure, anyone know anything?

Can we win vs lowly CMU tonight? hope so.

RE: XILAS HURT
I don't know if he's injured, I haven't heard anything official.

I'm sure he is tired physically and mentally from having to try to carry this team on his back. I think it's probably more mental than anything. Silas averages 32 MPG, that's not for a team's top player.

I haven't been able to watch the last few games, but it sounds like teams are fronting him on defense, denying him the ball and daring everyone else to score.

In the end it's probably a combination of all of the above.

BTW,

You might want to change your Thread Title (just click edit on post #1). It's very misleading.

People on this board are sensitive to this type of stuff, they will crucify you for making them think Silas is actually hurt.

Or maybe not. 90% don't care about basketball. If this was football, you would have an angry mob coming after you.

Sorry about the title, changed it now, thanks for the heads up. New to the board here.

You might be right about teams just playing different D on him and him tired mentally. But you would think since he is trying to raise his NBA stock, he would be putting up some points. Instead he is struggling in the last few games. I think he might be hurt but I am just speculating...

Thanks and welcome to the board! I personally don't care about things like that, I just know how a lot of the other members are.

As far as Silas. It's hard to say. Like I said before, I haven't been able to watch the last few games, so I am only going by other ppl accounts and by the box scores.

He had a cryptic facebook status after the Miami (OH) game. It went along the lines of "people criticize me for my 'me against the world' attitude". It sounded like he was trying to do a 'Kobe' and purposely not take shots just to prove a point.

But I could be reading way too much into that status and I could be way off (which is more likely LOL).

He hasn't been taking as many shots or attempting many free throws (other than Kent State game). I don't know what gives.

It can't be helping his draft stock for sure. This is the time for him to go nuts and finish strong.

I feel like the players have quit on Patton. There really is nothing to play for right now. Sometimes players will play hard for the coach even though the ship is sinking. The captain keeps throwing people overboard, so I think they have just stopped caring.

For all we know Patton could of benched him second half because he could of mouthed off to him. But I don't see X as that type of person, either way I hope he comes back with a vengeance tonight.
