Bowling Green, Ky. - After another successful signing class, Western Kentucky University recruiting coordinator Eric Mathies has been recognized among the best recruiters in the nations by Rivals.com.

Mathies, who will enter his seventh year on the Hilltopper coaching staff in 2011, was the only coach from a Sun Belt Conference school to make the list of top 10 recruiters from non-BCS Automatic Qualifying schools. For the second straight year, WKU boasted the top-ranked recruiting class in the Sun Belt, landing 11 three-star recruits among the 26-player class. Mathies, who also serves as the defensive ends coach for the Hilltoppers, was named recruiting coordinator after Willie Taggart was hired as head coach in December of 2009.
