ASU returns 1 starter on the offensive line now, one of our starters last year got a medical redshirt. also half of our OL signees were midterm guys so they will get to practice this spring. That should help

Hope it works out. Having no retruning Olineman starters last year just killed FAU. Hopefully the same wont happen to you.

This may have come up before and I apologize if it has (plus it's been pretty slow on the board) but I was wondering how the other schools in the Sun Belt treat the Spring Game? It has never been to big of a deal here in Louisiana but with Coach Hud it seems to be changing. He is promoting it like any other game and wants to see tailgating ,the Cajun Walk, etc. so I was just curious as to what everyone in the conference does for there spring games?

ASU has 3 players returning that have some starting experience, two at the same position, so it will be an uphill climb. That is offset a little by the fact that the returning players now have more experience in Freezes offense, the JC players were recruited for this offense and, their QB can run and they have all their skill people back.

Still there will probably be growing pains.

ASU is getting alot better at making sure they put the Spring Game on a home baseball weekend, so they can make the promise to fans to spend a Saturday out on campus. But over the past few years we barely played a real game in the spring, using a scoring system only Steve Roberts could come up with where the defense scored points for sacks and turnovers and tackles for losses. No one understood the scoring much less watched it

Hudspeth came from the SEC, where Spring Games have nearly sell out crowds and are actual games, not just glorified practices. I imagine he will do really well with that. Hopefully Freeze will spice up our game a bit here

Yeah unfortunately our baseball team is in Florida that weekend. It would have made for a much better weekend.

Hard to find anything wrong with that assessment for MT.

The offense should be fine. DD was often a one man wrecking crew (which team he was wrecking was the only problem). Kilgore should be able to put to use the weapons around him - a return to the days of Joe Craddock type offense.

The defensive line is the biggest question mark. We got a ton of bodies and some upside players like McLendon and McNeil. We've got a great OL coming back, so i'm looking forward to see how the kids on the DL stack up during the spring.

The dates are wrong for ASU and to nitpick, Freeze was an assistant in the SEC as well, just not last year.

Our OL will be fine if the JC guys are as good as our staff thinks they are. Also, we lost one starting DB, not 2,
