KenPom has us as a 66-60 winner. That is subject to change since St. John's plays UConn tonight and that will change the data used to come up with the scores.

I did not even realize st johnsl was pulling the thursday night followed by a noon road game. Sounds like our days in cusa. Huggs used to fume over that. I may change my pick now.

Yeah, but that was Thursday eve/Saturday noon. Stj gets the extra day.

For SJU's sake at least the game is Sunday and not Saturday. Extra day of rest. They looked pretty damn good the last time they played on a Sunday.

Holy smokes St Johns is whipping Uconn's arse at MSG tonight. They are going to be a nightmare for the committee. Watch UC sweep them and they'll still get the bid...

Not sure they'll be a nightmare. If St Johns gets to .500 in the conference they will get in. Too many standout wins. I know people around here love to talk about bad losses (of which St Johns has 2), but bad losses really are not that huge a deal. Sure they matter to an extent, but the committee has traditionally cared far more about whether a team can beat other NCAA tournament teams... and St Johns has consistently demonstrated that.

On a side note...UCONN has really struggled in Big East play the last two years... And yet they have beaten some big time teams out of conference.

Having maybe 14 losses is their biggest baggage. They are tough in New York. Would not want them in the BE tournament.

BTW the trend in all their big wins is shooting over 60% from behind the arc. They are at about 70% tonight. Same thing they did at WVU, and to Duke and ND at home.

Having a Suckeye and a Mousketeer on the committee could also be problematic.

They shot 17% (1-6), 44% (4-9), and 25% (3-12) against WVU, ND and GT respectively. They shot 60% (3-5) against Duke. They don't win games from 3-point range, they win them by getting out in transition like crazy and knocking down a good percentage of their free throws.
