HASF kickoff offical info
I have put the key points in bold below.

http://www.niuhuskies.com/sports/m-footb...11aaa.html

Feb. 7, 2011

DeKALB, Ill. - All Northern Illinois fans are invited to meet new Huskie football coach Dave Doeren and his staff, get complete information on 2011 NIU football tickets, enjoy free food and drink and hear from Northern Illinois coaches and student-athletes at the annual Huskie Athletic Support Fund Kickoff on Saturday, Feb. 12 from 1-3 p.m. at Victor E. Court in the NIU Convocation Center.

The HASF Kickoff event is open to all NIU fans and will be held prior to the Northern Illinois men's basketball game versus Kent State, which tips off at 3 p.m. at the Convocation Center. A basketball game ticket is required for admission, and the Huskie Athletic Support Fund is providing a free game ticket to anyone who wants to attend. To obtain a free ticket, call the HASF Office at 815-753-1923 by this Friday, Feb. 11.

This year's HASF Kickoff will give NIU fans a chance to meet and interact with Doeren and his assistant coaches, and hear directly from Doeren, other Huskie head coaches and student-athletes, as well as Associate Vice-President and Director of Athletics Jeff Compher. Complete information on 2011 football season tickets, and on purchasing tickets for Soldier Field Showdown II, the highly-anticipated match-up between Northern Illinois and Wisconsin in downtown Chicago on Sept. 17, 2011, will be available.

Members of the Huskie Athletics staff will be on hand to answer questions as the HASF officially begins its 2011 Annual Fund Drive. The HASF has enjoyed four consecutive years of record growth in both number of donors and in dollars raised to support Huskie student-athletes and is aiming even higher in 2011. The 2010 Annual Fund Drive saw 1,525 donors contribute more than $1.3 million to NIU Athletics.

Donations received through the Huskie Athletic Support Fund are distributed directly into each Huskie sport program's budget, providing an immediate impact on every Northern Illinois student-athlete. HASF monies are used for such items as transportation, enhancing schedules and equipment upgrades, just to name a few.

At the 2011 kickoff, fans will be treated to free food and drink, and members of the Huskie Athletic Support Fund can pick-up their 2011 season ticket and HASF renewal packets. HASF renewal packets that are not picked up at the kickoff event will be mailed. Information on season tickets, as well as NIU-Wisconsin Soldier Field Showdown II tickets, also will be available online at http://www.NIUHuskies.com next week.

For more information on the HASF, the 2011 Annual Fund Drive, or Northern Illinois football tickets, call 815-753-192

RE: HASF kickoff offical info
Hopefully our success in this program continues to grow. If we are going to be the next Boise State or TCU we are going to need more support in this program from the alumni. My guess is they will shortly begin the process of supporting an IPF also if not at this event itself. Anyone hear if indeed there will be a kickoff to an IPF campaign at this event?

The most common rumor I am reading/hearing is that the IPF project will be unveiled at the spring game. However, with the way the both Coach Doeren and AD Compher are speaking to the press about building and fund raising for the IPF, I will be surprised if they do not ask us for IPF specific donations at the kickoff.
