So, Little Smaug gets home from school yesterday, to the news of the OCS. She says, "Cool! When will it be ready?"

I reply, "They're saying the fall of 2013."

She comes back with, "You realize that will be my freshman year in college, right? You can sit in the stands. I'll be marching onto the field."

For those that don't know, she plays one of these:

It's a painful instrument to listen to a child learn to play, but when they finally figure it out, it's as if the heavens opened up and the angels poured forth God's grace.

Pardon my reverie. I was a kid in the 80s, a very saxophone-friendly time.

Where does little Smaug attend high school? Make sure she is auditioning for all- State and going to honor bands. These thingnwill help her win scholarship money. Pm me if you would like more info!
