RE: 2011 Signee Roster
Palm Beach Post still seems to be pretty certain on Lewis and Terry to NIU. I would tend to believe them, they seem to be all over the recruiting down there.

Rasheen Lemon - signed
Tommylee Lewis
Taylor Zalewski
Dominic Schultz
Matt Killan - signed
Wonderful Terry
Tyler Wedel - signed
Jimmy Kapolnek
Devin Rose

Neither kicker is official yet. We better get at least one of those guys.

Updated.

We got a punter, he looks decent. He could be an interesting weapon on fake punts and even fake FG's if he ends up a holder.

Our departing punter is shocked that Wedel even got a scholly. He likes Zakewski though.

I'm assuming this kid had some nice ties to DD and the staff at Madison. This kind of reminds me of Boone Thorgeson. I felt like that was a good will scholarship w/ his dad being the HC at Kaneland and being pretty influential among the ranks. This kid seems like Thorgeson, to have been a really good all purpose guy in HS, so maybe there's a shot of him contributing in other facets as well as being a great practice player and locker room guy.

And if he is as athletic as they say, he might be raw as a punter and could have huge upside when he gets a ton of kicking coaching. All that stuff can't be overlooked.

He also enjoys long walks on the beach...

I love looking at the signed list and only seeing 1 junior, 2 sophs, and the rest freshman, JC's certainly have their places, but you build a program with HS players.

RE: 2011 Signee Roster
Ther could be some last minute stuff going on. There is still some highly rated Mo. guys that DD may be trying to land. Stay tuned. Also with the coaching change, there may be some trannsfers out. I hope we have room for 22-25 recruits.

RE: 2011 Signee Roster
Is it me or is this shaping up to be a pretty sweet class? I know ranking sites only carry so much weight but without much else to go off of, I would say this class is in line with or better than any the "recruiting machine" brought in over the last few seasons.

RE: 2011 Signee Roster
Kill's were never highly regarded, but he found some good guys.

The big news is we uncovered some new DB's today, and one JUCO that can step in right away with Melvin. Probably wouldn't hurt to have one more JC CB unless we think Ward or Durante can move into one of those spots.

I think this is a superb class this year, a lot of phenomenal athletes here. Can't wait to see them in action.

Maybe Wedel? Sounds like he has a big leg and can kick over 60 with accuracy. I think he was pretty highly rated at the Kohl's camp too so maybe Zalewski is out.
