Buckeyes take a pass - again - on Mr. Football

Being Ohio's Mr. Football has very little to do with the Ohio State University's football program. On Dec. 4, [Akise] Teague was playing in the Division V state championship game, with Ohio State coach Jim Tressel in attendance. Teague scored on a 73-yard swing pass. He scored on a 46-yard run. He scored on a 65-yard run. The TDs kept coming -- five in all -- as he gained 249 yards rushing and 94 receiving in a 51-21 win over Coldwater. "After that game, I thought I would (get an OSU offer) for sure," Teague said. "I was excited." He and Tressel spoke. Tressel was complimentary, and Teague said he was impressed with the coach. But no offer came. "It was somewhat disappointing," Teague said. "But I guess that's just how it is." A week later, Teague committed to Cincinnati.

Well I'm sure Teague will have plenty to play for when UC plays OSU in 2012.
