Equates to $203,077 per team. Worst among all the conferences yet we want to split it more ways by adding another football member.

Adding a 14th football member would decrease that amount to $188,571 per team.

A decrease of about $15,000? That's not much, probably worth it for even divisions and scheduling purposes.

You are also splitting the ESPN and bowl game $$ from our three tie-ins all for the sake of making the divisions even? There aren't any problems with the scheduling. What happens when Temple leaves and we are at 13 again? You add programs because they add value, not just for the sake of adding teams.

It's already split 14 ways - the MAC also takes a full share.

Yet more ammunition to the argument that there are WAY too many bowls. The majority of participating teams LOSE money on bowl games. The matchups are too often lousy, paid ticket attendance bad and TV ratings abysmal. It BEGS the question when are schools going to get wise and tell 75% of these bowls to take their invite and pound sand.

If you want to reward the coaches and players for a good season, then find another way and save thousands of dollars in the process.

So, my NIU Finance Degree tells me each Big 10 team's share is $2.47 million....???

So why does the MWC not get the same $$$ as the other conferences that got 1 BCS bid?
