Votes in Coaches and AP
Still just one vote in each, but got votes in both polls. Very cool! Thought we might pick up another one or two, but this is good.

Dropped a spot on bracketology as well to a 13 seed against Mizzou. Would much rather see the Florida matchup :(

There was no way the ASUN was going to get a 12. A 13 is only possible if you guys don't lose again.

Just my opinion.

Also, has anyone seen that we're currently #13 in the mid-major poll right behind Butler?

At this point I'm wondering if we win out, but then lose deep in the conference tournament if an at large bid (probably a play-in game) would be a possibility.

Look through some of the older posts. This has been discussed by a great multitude, including a questions from the community answered by Kyle Whelliston from midmajority.com. Bottom line is no because of SOS.

Ahh the mid major poll. I remember in 2005, ETSU finished the year #2 behind Gonzaga. I don't think they even count Gonzaga anymore.

Not a chance. Illinois didn't make the tournament last year. We'd have a good chance at going deep in the ____, though. (I refuse to utter the name of that dreadful, dreadful tournament).

After that loss and considering you don't play in the bracket buster which would of gave you possibly a top 50 rpi team. It would very tough to get an at large.

3 votes in the AP and 0 in the coaches poll - I'll take it!

Bracketology has us as a 12 against UNC this week. I'd say this is about as good as we've seen it.

I think Belmont could beat UNC. The ACC is down this year.

RE: Votes in Coaches and AP
Because of the other mid major wins this week. George Mason, Utah State, VCU, and ODU all made moves. We did, however, move up on the S-Curve in bracketology. Back to a 12 seed - this time against Syracuse. Could be an interesting matchup. We've dominated the 2-3 zone all year (and as for as long as I can remember) with our great shooters, but Syracuse's 2-3 is a whole different animal. Those long, athletic players would be a serious problem.
