If it were a Saturday night, I'd say get drunk in some overpriced saloon on Broadway and pass out in a gutter. Since it's a Sunday night, we have plenty of churches that have night services.
Enjoy Nashville and our culture!

A few things. There are some cool places in easy walking distance to the Curb. PM is right across the street for sushi/Asian food. 12South Taproom is on 12th Ave. S, and has good food and a great beer selection. Mafiozas is next to the Taproom and has pizza/Italian. Bosco's in Hillsboro Village for microbrews and awesome food. Sam's sports bar in the Village. Really tons of spots right around campus.
Belmont is just outside downtown, so it is about 2.5 miles to the famous honky tonk bars on Broadway (the skyline looms from campus...great view of Nashville from the top level of the Curb Event Center parking garage...would make for a great photo). For the real deal, go to Robert's Western World. Great bar and traditional country. Tootsies Orchid Lounge is famous, and it is the top destination for tourists. Not the best place to me, but most well-known nationally. There are tons of places to go down there. Sunday nights may or may not be active. Depends on what is going on downtown. In the summer it stays busy with tourists. In the winter, Fridays and Saturdays are generally busy, and potentially very busy depending on downtown events.
Also, Vanderbilt University is just a mile or so from Belmont, so there are literally hundreds of places to go in the 12 South, Hillsboro Village, 21st Ave, West End, Downtown, and Green Hills areas. All are just minutes away. You have very upscale dining to dive bars everywhere.
Enjoy!
