RE: UC @ St. John's
Seeing Utah State at #25 was enough for me to laugh at the polls. The coaches should be embarrassed.

RE: UC @ St. John's
All we have to be is one of the top 37 teams in the country at the end of the season not to win a Conference Tourney(Unless we win it). That gets us into the NCAA. Right now I think we are.

RE: UC @ St. John's
Sorry if this was already brought up, but was UC favored in this game or was St. John's?

I thought they had us losing one Non conference game before the season started but they change that during the season so I would say yes.

RE: UC @ St. John's
If it was, that's great! But UC needs to win more underdog games (esp. the ones against ranked teams) to get some positive attention their way.

What about the last 11 games, Rath? Any changes?

RE: UC @ St. John's
I'm just picturing Selection Sunday and the graphic where they show a teams's RPI, SOS, Good Wins, and Bad Losses. I think when it comes down to "Good Wins", this game AT St. John's can go in that category. Any ranked team can go in that category along with WVU and Louisville (if they are unranked at the time).
However, UC needs to avoid "Bad Losses" @Depaul, vs. Rutgers, and @Providence.

Only 1. After UC lost at ND, they switched the game at Providence from a loss to a UC win. Changed the overall win total from 23 to 24. That one keeps switching back and forth I guess.

RE: UC @ St. John's
Thanks Rath, Wolf. Since the prediction is only one point, it's no wonder that's the one that keeps switching.
I maintain that Providence is a team we SHOULD beat, but, despite their awful BE record to date, they seem to play their best vs. their best opponents (7 pt loss at SU, 4 pt loss to Pitt, beat UL). Nothing's easy.
If we beat both DePaul and Providence on the road, as long as take care of business elsewhere, it will cement our bid. Anything above that will serve as seed improvement.
First things first... beat Mr. Magoo U.

I see the season divided into four more sections.
1) The next three games. Need two wins (and @ Pitt is going to be tough, so the next two would be best).
2) The three games after that. Should be three wins, but the potential for the ugly upset resides there.
3) The last five games. The place where we need to pick up some of those "quality" wins. Mostly have to avoid an ugly end of season losing streak.
4) Big East Tournament. Want to avoid the shutout here. One win would look nice, and two wins certainly looks doable. Anything after that is bonus.

Wow...Up 21 at the half. I hope they can keep it going. It be hard for all those Big East bashers to take if the Blue Devils were to get smoked by a middle of the pack Big East team. Come on Johnies...I mean Red Storm.
