Jalen Parmele had 2 KOR for 37 yards for the Ravens. I thought he had a special teams tackle as well, but it did not show up in the official stats.

Seemingly, week-in and week-out, the major contributions of MAC players in the NFL is endless. Why the MAC doesn't put out a weekly press release pointing this out is puzzling.

RE: MAC in the NFL Playoffs!
Agreed, the MAC should be tooting their own horn right now. Most of these guys were UDFA. I wish we would get them better starts on NFL rosters by getting them drafted. The MAC alum do as well as they do w/o advertising. Imagine how many other guys would make it if we promoted them better before the draft. I still think a MAC senior bowl would focus some NFL scout attention on MAC players for a few days. Most individual team pro days are pretty weak but 13 teams combined would draw more attention.

What p*sses me is the NFL.

Would it be too hard to list player's universities when they first show the units at the beginning of the game??? 05-stirthepot

One thing which will hurt the MAC now is the movement toward online media guides.

The old printed media guides DID have alums playing in the NFL (in the '09 media guide, inside back cover).

I assume the school would send a media guide to each recruit who is interesting in being seriously recruited (I assume that would be to complete the recruit's questionaire, send in game tape, etc.).

I really believe media guides are a good recruiting tool. Something about a picture is worth a 1,000 words.

Now I guess they see YouTube videos of say the football team rooms, Convo, indoor practice facility, etc.

I love watching Greg Jennings, his face after he got stripped was so fierce and energetic. He really plays hard, and is my favorite player for the Pack. Too bad they play the bears, kind of torn between the Pack and Chester Taylor. May the best team win, maybe the Packers win 31-28 but Chester has 4 rushing TD's...that would be nice!

Umm, he doesn't play for either the Packers or the Falcons, therefore I did not forget him.

RE: MAC in the NFL Playoffs!
I was curious if the entire MAC was represented by the last four playoff combatants. It comes pretty close. No Bobcats. I don't think any Owls either, but my mind is not trained to catch those.

Lots of MAC Packers, including the full Michigan Triumverate:
Diyral Briggs, BG
Josh Gordy of CMU
James Starks UB
Frank Zombo CMU
TJ Lang EMU
Tom Crabtree Miami
Greg Jennings WMU
Cullen Jenkins CMU

MAC Bears:
Brad Maynard BSU
G Wolfe NIU
Chester Taylor UT
[Freddie Barnes missed being on practice squad by a couple weeks]

MAC Steelers
C. Batch EMU
Antonio Brown CMU
James Harrison Kent
Ben R. Miami
Shaun Suisham BG

MAC Jets
Jason Taylor Akron

If it ends up Packers vs. Steelers we'll get a "MAC ATTACK" feelgood storyline for sure.

For what it is worth, MAC member-in-waiting UMass can contribute 3 Jets:
special teams captain James Ihedigbo
backup OL Vladimir Ducasse
general manager Mike Tannenbaum

I think you can include Leftwich on this list. Marshall was in the MAC when he played.
