Need our first road win of the season tonight. Played Campbell tough for 3/4 of the game - need to continue to get mentally tough. Really need for some players to start stepping up. Markeith, Ladaris, Spencer....haven't had a break out game since the GT game.

I think we win tonight...going on a hunch. For what it is worth, USC Upstate just took Jacksonville to OT, so I feel better about our chances later in the year considering we pretty much won the Upstate game from start to finish.

Ridiculous comments..we are 6 games into conference play. We have lost to Belmont, Lipscomb, and Campbell on the road and we lost to ETSU at home. We took care of business against Upstate and Gulf Coast. We will need to pick up some more wins on this trip, but the season is far from over.

I know it is tough to go from beating GT by 20 to losing a bunch of games we probably should have won, but there is no reason to quit on the Owls. Man up Hunt - you sound like a sissy. Oh WOE IS ME!!! WOE IS ME!!!! If we can snag this next one vs. Stetson we will be looking pretty good. 5 out of our first 7 on the road, and we will be just 1 game under .500 in the conference. Stetson has taken down Wake Forest, so they are a good team, but I think they are somewhat similar to us in that they aren't quite sure of their identity, and that that their season is someone marred by the idea that if they beat an ACC school then they should beat everyone. Expectations are killers...hopefully we can come out on top against the Hatters.

So if we aren't the best team in the conference then you aren't going to support the Owls? In case you don't remember we upset the #1 seed last year in the tournament. Anything can happen in a tournament format. Belmont is clearly the best team, but we still have a lot to play for...I just enjoy it everytime we win, so I am not going to let you get me down. Great win OWLS! Keep improving, and lets take down Stetson.

RE: Florida Gulf Coast
I know this isn't the most positive way of thinking, but this could be a repeat of last year. Let me explain. With two teams (Upstate and FGCU) still ineligible, it will come down to 1 team elimination. 9 eligible, 8 make the tournament. My point is having a game in hand over the Hatters will be huge later down the road when it comes to tournament seedings. Don't want it to be this way, but it could very well be us in 8th, and Stetson 9th. If we have the head-to-head victories, then we get the nod. I'm not saying that this game is any more important than any other conference game, I know, they're all important. Just something I wanted to point out.

As for tonight, good game to get us back on track. Kelvin had a huge game and surpassed Golden Ingle on the three point list for school history. Anderson is leading the league in rebounding I learned tonight. Good for him. I know FGCU isn't a good team this year, but we shot the lights out tonight. 50% FG, and 41% 3 pt FG. You shoot that well and you're going to give any team in the conference a hard time.

One concern that Mike had that I kind of agree with is the rotation, or lack there of. Our starting 5 all played over 30 minutes. Outside of those 5, no other player played more than 11 (Heramb). It got us a win, and right now, that's all that matters.

We are going to see that the rest of the year. Without Kurtis and with Heramb leaving his brain on another planet we are forced to play a small rotation.

Losing Kurtis hurt us big time. Just having him alone we would of won about 3-4 more games this year.

No doubt. Spencer, Kurtis, Markeith, Ladaris, and Anderson in the starting lineup with Kelvin, Ohsemen, and Heramb coming off the bench would be a tough team. Instead our starting lineup is weaker, and our bench is lightyears weaker. Hate it because Kurtis was a good kid too, just not the brightest apparently.

RE: Florida Gulf Coast
While it would've been great to have Kurtis around this year, this team needs to find a way to step up. Cummings, Dixon & Green are a returning core, and the addition of Anderson has probably been roughly equivalent to the departure of Woods.

This isn't an all-or-nothing sport, and I think the reasonable KSU fan would have placed us, expectation-wise, behind Belmont in the second-tier of teams in the A Sun heading into this season. Losing Woods isn't the sole reason KSU slipped to the bottom rung (so far). It hurts, but so will the departures of other players, which every team has to deal with due to academics, frustration, discipline, graduation, or for the Dukes of the world, the NBA. We need to have a better plan, and then to be able to marshall the talents of the players who remain. We simply aren't doing that.

Hopefully, we can get a little streak going with another win tonight.

2nd road win in a row...HUGE! 5 out of our first 7 on the road, and we are 3-4. That can't be overstated. We now have 3 home games in a row. Need to get this first one against North Florida to get us back to .500 and then we will be in a good spot to join the upper half of the league. HUGE WIN TODAY. Spencer hits a game winning layup with 1 second left to steal the victory.
