Upgrade arena buzzer (substitutions, halftime, end of game)?
I've always thought that the buzzer Mercer uses is somewhat of "high school style" in my opinion. Yes, I know certain NBA teams use that style...but it's just not appealing to the ear. I also think the alternative sounding buzzer just gives off the impression of a more quality venue. Since Mercer has the tournament on ESPN the next few years (at minimum) I thought it might be a relatively cheap upgrade that would go a long way.

I agree with you as Belmont probably has the same buzzer. Wish we had the kind in the example. I can only guess the buzzer we currently have cuts through crowd noise better but otherwise it is very annoying.

I've been meaning to bring this back, but Mercer DID upgrade the arena buzzer. I want to believe this thread helped in that, but I know it's likely just the leadership at Mercer. They upgrade the little minor things along with the major.
