And while this is going on, the shills working the game for ESPN don't even bother to comment on the obvious screw up. Both entities lose the very little credibility they had with me. 01-lauramac2

The BC$ is BS even without ESPN. Sloburn vs. Whoregon? I'd rather watch North Alabama vs Western Oregon.

To this date, I still have never seen Cam Newton play.
I am told he is awesome.
But why should I simply automatically care about the game because ESPN is jamming it down my throat?
Or the SEC just because ESPN won't shut up about the conference's holiness?
Or a host of other things ESPN shoves in your face. (for me that means the NFL)(I just don't consider it the greatest show on earth like they want me to think)

It was also frustrating watching the GoDaddy.com Bowl listening to the commentators go on and on about Auburn and Oregon when they should've been covering Miami University and Middle Tennessee State. I hate to say it, but Mobile may want to try moving the game to another date! Shoot! If I was them, I'd move it to a date AFTER the BC$ National Title in retaliation to the BC$'s mythical national championship game.

You have to appreciate the irony, though.

OK, I'll stop. But I'm glad I wasn't the only one that wasn't impressed last night with either teams offense.

For real! And it's supposed to be a not-for-profit private school. Like heck it is!

What? University of Phoenix is openly for profit. The controlling company is traded on the stock market.

Is University of Phoenix that bad? I was under the impression that it is the "respectable" of the 'for profits', as opposed to many others.

BTW, I enjoyed the game last night, but there are too many commericials. I think I managed to watch a full episode of "The Office" during one of the commercial breaks. If you watch less ESPN so that you don't get into the overblown hype and try to shut out Brent Musberger's melodrama, it was fun.

Hmmm. I always thought it was a non-profit school. I don't think the U.S. Government even knows anymore. Schools in the Power $ix are allowed to run multi-million dollar corportations as athletic departments and still get the benefits of tax exemption.

Yea so does the Church of Scientology. Keeping non-profit status is not that hard if you have good lawyers and can even make a half-hearted argument for it.

Apollo Group Inc., the Phoenix-based operator of the University of Phoenix, jumped 13 percent to $40.74 as of 4 p.m. in New York after reporting quarterly results that were higher than analysts estimated. Trading of puts to sell the stock jumped to a 12-week high of 42,316 contracts yesterday as investors purchased contracts to hedge against stock losses or bet on a drop.
