I am ready for Thursday now. Buy the three game pack guys, and be sure to get the ETSU ticket as part of it. I can't wait to play the sissies!

RE: DAVID Lipscomb
Yes. I want Slater to cry.

Of course, I'm always incredibly nervous about this game. I think this may be one of the best Belmont teams there's been, but the DAVID Lipscum game is always close. I'd love for Belmont to run away with it like we did with Jacksonville, but I'm sure it's going to be down to the last few minutes. It would be nice to beat them at home, as I'm not sure it's happened in the last two years.

Also, I want Slater to cry.

We have GOT to pack this game out. I hope the students have been educated on the importance of this rivalry, and the defecation of the Bison(s?).

I'll be there and bringing 7 along with me.

RE: DAVID Lipscomb
Should be a pretty good game. I still think our offense is too effiecient and our defense too stifling for them to beat us, but that is why they play the game. If Belmont can continue their Opponent Turnover rate at 27% then this game shouldn't be a problem. Lipscomb coughs it up on 19% of their possessions. Causing turnovers is going to be key.

Game day.

"Belmont 'till I die, I'm Belmont 'till I die
I know I am, I'm sure I am
I'm Belmont 'till I die"

...singing over and over in my head. And at least once on my sig.

LET'S GET 'EM BRUINS!

I hope this is true, but DLU always seems to find a gear for us that they are rarely able to reach otherwise. It happens every year. They will play their best game in a long while tonight, and we'll see how Belmont handles it.

RE: DAVID Lipscomb
What a freaking beating. I was expecting us to win by double digits, but we just came out and ripped them to shreds. I've never seen anything like it at Belmont to start a game 20-3. We turned the ball over more than they did as well. Just insane.

I'm ready to consider the remainder of the regular season and A-Sun tournament to be utterly pointless.

RE: DAVID Lipscomb
Never in my life have I heard Belmont fans chant "down by 40" during the Battle of the Boulevard...

Also, for those of you keeping score at home. Slater cried.

Hodzik did as well, as we ended his 71 game double-double streak and yelled mercilessly at him after he says "watch this" to us, then misses two free throws immediately after. What round of the draft are you looking to go in next year, chief?

"Just made Lipscomb cry, we just made Lipscomb cry
I know we did, I'm sure we did
we just made Lipscomb cry"

If they didn't, they should have. Sanderson's comments in the lip article are excellent. He said he's never been beaten that soundly for 40 minutes.

It was the worst beatdown in the history of the series by Belmont.
Lip's worst beating in the div 1 era.

It was pure, unadulterated bliss!

RE: DAVID Lipscomb
We didn't just win this game. We pounded on them for 40 minutes, followed them home, blew out the tires on the bus so they had to walk back, poured water on the sidewalks ahead of them so they would slip on ice, met them at home, flushed the toilet while they were showering. stole all of the tissues so the only thing they could cry into is their gay purple uniforms, shat in their bed, and then married their sister. Metaphorically.
