MBB: What a Strange Season!
Who would've guessed that at this point in the season FAU, FIU, and Denver would be a combined 11-0 while traditional powers WKU, USA, and ULL are a combined 2-8? What a year! Don't be surprised to see a couple new faces next year in the basketball coaching ranks...

I don't think FAU was a big surprise, I think most people here knew they were coming back this year even better and stronger and would be a big contender in the SBC title.

The FAU / FIU match-up should be pretty good this year, and may have title implications. (feb 5th & 19th)

GO OWLS!!!

FAU isn't a surprise. I thought FAU would be about 3-1 at this point, but 4-0 doesn't surprise me. FIU and Denver at 3-0 and 4-0 respectively do. I'm disappointed at USA's record to say the least.

We have a tough road trip this week at UNT and Denver. After this week we will know if we are for real. The South Florida sweep this pass weekend is building a real buzz for the FIU/FAU match up in Feb.

I hope that lots of FIU fans come up to Boca and Vice Versa for the game in Miami.

I know the FAU students and SG REALLY push the FIU game in Boca each year.

SBC All-Time Career Blocking

"History should be made on Tuesday, as Brett Royster's career blocks count now stands at 265. Royster needs just two more to surpass Alan Ogg's all-time mark of 266 set at UAB during the 1989-90 season." - http://www.fauowlsnest.com

And it should not be a hard feat to surpass tonight against a struggling Manhattan team.

GO OWLS!!!
