A while ago, I bought a $300k Ferrari. My cash flow has gotten so bad I can't afford the payments. I am going to require any of you who use this board to pay me $25 per month to pay for my car. I could turn it back in and get a cheaper car but I like the car. My kids like the car so instead I will just make you guys pay for it. So starting today, everyone needs to give me $25 per month. You can have it taken directly out of your paychecks.

Riiiight, because everyone who can't pay their mortgage must have over-reached. It's not at all possible they purchased a perfectly reasonable, modest home and lost their job to China because we refuse to regulate trade. It's not possible they were laid off to improve the bottom line or to finance a CEO's golden parachute. Tough cookies if they went bankrupt fighting cancer or needed impossibly expensive medication. I'm sure none of them are trying hard to find a new job.

It must be so convenient for you to shrug eveyone off as lazy or greedy. God forbid you have to help anyone, just let eveyone rot because there's a chance a few might take advantage. How arrogant.

I am making an analogy of the State of Illinois. They have promised and over extended themselves and now they are just going to take money from us without trying to reduce their costs. It has nothing to do with that. Yes, many people have lost their houses because of this. But many did not put any money down, bought a house with an adjustable rate mortage thinking in three years the value would increase 30%. They could then sell and pocket the money. They made a bad financial decision and now our government thinks that the people who are still paying their mortgages should have to pay theirs or allow them to reduce their mortgage amount while the rest of us have no relief but have to pay for it. My advise is don't buy a house. That way, if you lose your job, you do not have to worry about a mortgage. You will only be evicted from your apartment that you are renting. Also, what is the % of foreclosures that are due to health issues. Also, did they elect not to have insurance? Did they keep their cell phone, cable TV, Cigarette habit, etc. I know I am being quite an @$$ about it but there are multiple things that have happened. But a lot of people thought they could buy and turn the house and make a profit. They lost that gamble and now the winners have to pay back the losers. Life isn't fair.

Between this and your divorce you are having a rough year, sorry. I will get you a beer or two if you need one, if its in Chicago it would probably cost me close to $25.
