Congratulations to UCF
The program is doing CUSA proud right now. I like to think ECU had a hand in helping you build the program because of the competition on the field.
I will apologize for any comments I made and any other ECU fans that have made derogatory comments about UCF. You have my respect and many ECU fans are just upset about being passed over so many times and cant hold it back.
While I hope you remain in CUSA to continue to provide competitive programs and build up the conference, I understand if the BE looks your way for spot #10.
The football team not only won CUSA, but also helped CUSA by winning the Liberty Bowl (which we choked away twice). The basketball team is fulfilling its potential right now, by recruiting to its new facility, establishing a MidWest pipeline, and winning games.
Top to bottom CUSA is improving in all facets and UCF has a big hand in that. Congratulations and I hope we work toward keeping our rivalry classy on this expansion board.

RE: Congratulations to UCF
Good post, man! I always respected ECU and their fanbase for supporting ECU as they have. Although our fans have spouted back and forth...if there wasn't any expansion and we both knew were staying in CUSA forever...I think most smack would be on gamedays and that's it. Most of the bitterness stems from Big East or any BCS expansion hopes. Both schools have shared CUSA championships the last 4 years straight and it usually comes down to ECU, UCF and Southern Miss in the East. No matter what happens...I hope both schools can continue playing in the future. Right now we're both still members of CUSA and that's how I choose to look at things. We'll both be going after that East title again, next year as well.

CUSA will finish with 2 teams in the Top 25 in football! That says a lot! There's a BCS conference out there without any! CUSA basketball has gotten really tough! As good as UCF has played this year...when I look at the schedule...and don't see any "gimme" games! It's going to be a tough road ahead, for sure!!

Absolutely, the Texas programs of CUSA have to be questioning themselves, the East in football has won 4 straight football titles and the East programs are for the most part leading the way in basketball.
Typically the cream rises to the top and I think that's what we are seeing. UCF had a plan for athletics and is implementing it. I'd root for you guys over USF any day of the week.

The problem for CUSA is that the BCS uses the pre-bowl rankings for measuring conference strength, and under those conditions CUSA only has one team ranked with UCF at #25. The Big East has WV at #22.
The other problem is overall conference strength when CUSA ends with only three teams out of 12 with winning records.
But still is a good year for CUSA top teams and UCF is having a very good year. Congrats and enjoy it.
