Shootout Neutrality
Could somebody enlighten me as to why the shootout isn't held at US Bank every year? It is something I have wondered about in recent years. Logically it would seem to make sense. It would be a neutral court and each team could have 8000 tickets to sell. Thoughts and/or opinions?

RE: Shootout Neutrality
I don't think this series is made for neutrality in any way. It needs to continue just as it is, giving one team home court advantage each year, and the other surrounded by people who hate them.

Personally, I'd be in favor of discontinuing the series. I'd state to the press that it's in the best interest of UC to schedule better opponents. 03-nerner

RE: Shootout Neutrality
THE Series used to be at US Bank Arena and Cincy Gardens years ago when Schmidt Fieldhouse was way too small for a game. Later, XU used Gardens for their home floor. Uc used US Bank Arena for a home floor for quite a few years until Shoemaker Center was built but of course, most of you knew this.

RE: Shootout Neutrality
One thing that amazed me was how few Xavier fans attended the game last Thursday night. With UC's attendance being down, two-thirds of the arena was open to the public to purchase tickets. But UC fans stepped up and made it a real home court advantage.

One team has been surrounded by people who hate them for several consecutive years. 03-lmfao

RE: Shootout Neutrality
Yeah, holding the game at US bank could kill the intensity of the game. I say don't mess with what is working right now.
