USA $1,621,527 ($1.414.424)

I noticed it! So here is the order if we rank by amount. Btw it is no surprise that Denver is at the top due to travel costs.

Denver - $2,266,909 ($2,266,909)
WKU - $2,048,619 ($2,048,619)
USA $1,621,527 ($1,414,424)
UNT- $1,447,428 ($1,447,428)
MTSU - $1,327,404 ($1,327,404)
FIU - $1,225,261 ($1,688,985)
UALR - $1,168,873 (1,459,764)
ULL - $1,147,914 ($1,147,914)
ASU - $1,018,359 ($1,018,359)
Troy - $937,765 ($865,195)
ULM - $789,156 ($789,156)
FAU - $327,979 ($1,160,222)

Here is the rank of profit made... Hard to believe that USA and Troy made a profit. I guess we have large donors/companies buying tickets?
USA $207,103
Troy $72,570
Denver 0
WKU 0
UNT 0
MTSU 0
ULL 0
ASU 0
ULM 0

Yeeeeaaaaahhhhh. Anybody notice that several schools spend exactly what they take in? Is that just an extraordinary coincidence or is this list meaningless?

It means that several schools, like UNT, must dip into some "discretionary" fund" to make it all balance.05-ban

There's a reason why they call it a balance sheet.

I'm guessing you missed Economics 101?

Also moved from "unallocated athletic funds". Funds from donations, student fees, etc. not targeted to a specific sport.

Right. I guess my point was that if either expenditures or revenues were modified to make a balance sheet balance then it is not an acurate representation of either expenditures or revenues (or both).

What are the odds of the Cajuns bringing in exactly one million, one hundred and forty-seven thousand, nine hundred and fourteen dollars and then also spending exactly one million, one hundred and forty-seven thousand, nine hundred and fourteen dollars? How would they do that? Did they bring in $1,147,914 and then paid thier coaches and bought uniforms and it came out to $1,147,910 so they bought some extra pencils or something? Did they give the leftover to Coach Marlin and say "there, that is a little something extra, buy yourself something nice"?

Nope. They used trickery. So as I said above, this is not a valid comparison for expeditures or revenues. It can not be trusted.

Don't worry about it. Same thing occurs in football programs.
