MTSU must contain Austin Boucher (3-0 as a starter) who took over for Zach Dysert who suffered a lacerated spleen against Bowling Green.
MTSU has speed that Miami University hasn't seen much of this season. It's not a surprise that MAC schools struggle to beat Sun Belt schools in the same way Big Ten schools struggle to beat schools from the $EC. The Midwest is about size, while the South is about speed.
If MTSU can penetrate Miami's O-Line and put pressure on Boucher, that will be a plus for them.
Middle Tennessee State also needs to establish the ground game. Miami has a good rushing defense, and MTSU will have to get creative to beat the size of Miami's line, but when teams are able to run the ball, that's when the Redhawks get in serious trouble.
MTSU throws as many picks as Ohio, but Ohio still beat Miami. Alot of that has to do with running the ball more than throwing. Miami can't take advantage of their defensive secondary if it's not really in use.
MTSU must prevent turnovers. They can't be the Turnover Happy bunch they've been most of the season. Miami practically lives and dies off of turnovers. Without turnovers to feed them, they will struggle.
MTSU needs a break-out game from Dwight Dasher. It would go a long way in securing the win for the Sun Belt Conference.
