Ok , looks like we may be able to go a little deeper off the bench now, with some confidence gained from the Belmont game and the addition of Heramb. Hopefully we can figure out the right combinations that work well and get a productive rotation going. Easier said than done , but...
Good Luck OWLS !

RE: Lipscomb
After we knocked them out of the tournament last year, I think that we are going to get their best effort. We are going to have to bring the wood tonight, or we are going to get taken to the woodshed.

Listen - playing our first two conference games on the road in Nashville is a recipe for an 0-2 start. No one wins in Nashville, especially not when Lipscomb and Belmont are two of the top 4 teams in the conference. We didn't hurt ourselves with these losses...just need to right the ship before January. Markeith seems to have finally woke up which is a good sign, and we have Heramb back. I am trying to stay positive if you can't tell :)

I watched the game and it was very painful. We started the game with a lineup that included 6'9,6'10,6'7,6'6 and 6'0 and we got out rebounded by at least a dozen. We don't hustle back on defense and end up giving up easy, uncontested layups.Even when we were back on defense we gave up layups. If we don't do a better job rebounding and playing defense we are in for a long season. I don't see any offensive plays with secondary options. If Spencer can't beat his man or if Markeith can't post up we are out of luck. Our bigs either can't post up or don't know how. They need to take a lesson from Belmont's big man.Oh, by the way Presbyterian beat Auburn tonight 62-59 by rebounding and playing tough defense. We are a better team in transition but if we can't rebound we can't run.

What happened to Anderson? He was a beast on the boards the first few games.

I would trade the GA Tech upset for some basic, fundamental basketball right now.

This program is making precious little progress year-over-year, and at some point, KSU will need to determine if basketball is a hobby or it wants to be competitive. Without significant changes, it appears that KSU won't turn the corner on this program.

Its all about football in the south. Sad, because basketball is my favorite sport.

It's not about watching football until 2014 for KSU. I'm disappointed as anyone on here following the Owls about our performance, but this basketball program still has a bright future.

Keep your head high gents. It's a good time to be an Owl.

RE: Lipscomb
Agreed Nick M...I got probably a bit too 'high' on the state of our program after the GT game...right now I am probably a bit too low. I guess that is part of being a fan.
