Not really sure, but if I had to assume anything, it would be to just share a story about something part of the ECU fanbase did to make note that not all C-USA university fans are entirely pompous.

That is fantastic, hopefully a more active moral compass is built in other universities. :)

Tampa, I wouldn't call any C-USA fan(s) pompous, that would be the Big 10 and some if not most ACC schools. I think C-USA schools do some great things to support troops, children hospitals, and other things in their communities, as do other confrences and schools around the country. C-USA fans pompous, no way, we don't have the atheletic budgets the Big 10 schools do or the egos. Otherwise we ECU/UCF wouldn't be here discusing/argueing/fighting over who should get in an AQ confrence, we'd have the money to have a seat at the table from the start. Every story I hear like this makes fill good and much, much better than Delany's money grubling, give me, give me stories.

I think I meant in the context of these boards. I've seen plenty of recent fans dishing out unnecessary comments to others on here when unwarranted.

And of course, C-USA cannot tote around histories and legacies like other AQ conferences, however, recent success has a tendency to cloud people's visions. Just a bit over-protective in that circumstance, I suppose. (Plus, the ECU/UCF in-fighting should have been kept to, the very least, rivalry trash-talking rather than worthiness, but that is a different discussion)

I see what your saying, but you have those people in every fan base. And, It's those very people you'll find more of on internet message boards. I agree that the ECU/UCF in-fighting should been just rivalry trash-talk but, with both school being consider as possible addition to the BE, there is just no stopping some from trying to put other school down in order to further their school. If feel both should be and could be AQ schools.04-cheers

Whitey,
No reason to apologize for doing a class thing. The moderators here need to put an end to the influx of UCF fans destroying every thread. (Can't wait to share a conference with them.)
That's not your problem. Congrats again. Way to keep things in perspective.
