Jeff Compher's hands are tied. Ricardo Patton is here until his contract expires, period.

Actually, Maddawg was exactly right about the Huskies devolving into the Xavier Silas show this season. Patton is going to let Silas do whatever he wants on the court. Just like he did with his infamous point guard at Colorado (I forget the name, plays for the Pistons). The rest of the players are out there to clog space and let Silas thrive. Trouble is the team will still suck and not win a damned bloody thing.

NIU basketball is dead. Maybe a handful of people will get "excited" to go see Silas put on a show. I'd expect attendance at the Convocation Center to top out at 900 per game the rest of the way. You can't buy a meal at Fattys for the gate receipts given that the big majority of attendees are students and NIU employees on free tickets.
