I'd like to say that us at the Star read the board regularly and enjoy the feedback- positive or negative.
I look forward to sharing my insight about NIU, and hope I can shed some light about how the media and NIU work together.

Hey Kyle I was just wondering, how come on editorials, reader comments are not accepted if they disagree with the opinion? Im not speaking of vulgar or obscene comments, just contrary viewpoints. Several from this board submitted well thought out view points but were not posted as we watched viewpoints that agreed with the star be posted. It was very confusing.

The comments for the website are not handled by each individual section, but by several individuals in the online section. It's not exactly the best system and causes some confusion about what comments are posted. It's something that Star will have to address as it continues to move into the online realm.
Is there any editorial in particular? I was in charge of writing the sports related editorials since taking over last January.

It was awhile back and Im having trouble remembering the specific article. Can anyone help me out with what the general topic was? It was that article that noone's comment was posted.

If it was before August then it was on our old website, which was less than dependable. That could have contributed to why the comments weren't posted.
