KSU vs Florida
Well tomorrow brings another challenge for the Flashes. Play well and you have a chance at a nice resume building win. Play poorly, and it could get out of control. Let's hope we come with focus and determination.
BTW - I have good sources that say there will be a little change in the starting lineup tomorrow.

Not even a hint of what that might be? My guess would be Nealy replacing Manns.

RE: KSU vs Florida
Vegas has the Flashes as a 14 point dog, we alway seem to play this one "high profile" (Pitt, Kansas, North Carolina, Duke, ect.) game a year the same, hang in there early, then eventually fall apart, with the exception of the Duke game in 06-07, these were tough losses, hopefully that tread changes this year with a good game down in Gainsville.

Being that my parents are University of Florida alumni and I am a Kent State University alumni it will be a fun night. Except that she will be watching the New York Ranger hockey game.

Expect a crowd of 8,000 in a gym that seats around 12,000

That can still be very hostile and they tend to get worked up during a game even if they do not care about the opponent. Further is anybody really surprised that a football first school is talking about football especially when an important coach leaves unexpectedly?

BTW, how is Dan Dakich a sportscaster for ESPN? That guy is still the biggest jerk to walk a MACC sideline.

RE: KSU vs Florida
A FEW THINGS THAT I NOTICED TONIGHT:
1) Porrini had a hard time with decisions on the court, the game tonight had too many fast players for him, and he may be the quickest guy Kent has.
2) Kent players were flat footed looking around to see where the rebound was going, nobody was running to the ball…that was terrible..
3) They were blocking “nobody out“…not sure what the foul count was but I bet they didn’t foul much ..in other words they were not being aggressive.
4) The second half was as if they afraid to shoot, showed no confidence…passed up too many shots and lost the ball passing it…
5) And this is the worse…I lost count at about 8 or 9 missed so called “bunnies” that is at least 20 points lost there. And to make it worse most of those became a fast break for Florida with a score..
It appears this team needs to play as a unit , there is more talent here than the Christian days but those teams played together better. So I guess we can look forward to the end of Jan. I’m sure they will get it together…
Comments please..

Hate to be so negative but I don't care what the final score was, this game was a debacle. Fla gave a max effort for most of the game and the Flashes didn't have the athletes to match up. They played frantic / out of control most of the time on offense. I can't believe they only lost by 12 pts. Only KSU player to show up and do what he normally does was Guyton. Greene played well on O (except for the slow/wild passes out of the double team) but looked like a 6th grader playing the varsity in trying to defend Fla's bigs down low. Porrini and Rod played hard but were overmatched.
I think I have identified probably the worst KSU defender of all time; Darius Leonard. He must really be able to score 'cause he didn't get his scholarship from playing low post D. He simply didn't have a clue. C'mon Geno, Henniger has to be better than what Leonard's shown.
Justin Manns and Scooter Johnson were equally horrible. I'd hate to see Mann's with a baseball glove because he can't catch a ball 15 times as big on the hardwood. Johnson absolutley choked! In a span of 2 minutes he bricked 2 FT's, missed a dunk, got the rebound and missed the wide open put back. Totally intimidated.
I'm sick of beiing on Nat'l TV and getting embarrased! It's been 4 years since Kent played a decent game against a name big-time opponent (granted St Mary's was an excellent team but no one knew who they were.
The good news; KSU can only get better (I hope!)

Anyone know why Gaines didn't play? I think he got in in garbage time and that was it.
