5-6" of snow and now about 0.15" of ice on top ... still sleeting/freezing drizzle out there.

But I got some AMAZING high dynamic range / extended exposure / panaromic photos on my Lumix FZ35 .... will post them in about a half hour.

It's going to fluctuate in the 20s and 30s here most of the week. Although reports say it's supposed to get up around the low 50s by the weekend...

Just waiting for the weekend when it'll start pushing up against 60 degrees.

Pitchers and Catchers report in 4 days. Under 2 months until Opening Day. The best of the two seasons is arriving soon.

It won't be long before spring rolls around, and spring football kicks off for most schools in the next month too. I don't know about you guys, but IMO there are basically 2 seasons. Football season, and not football season...

Wrong. Baseball season, and Winter. (according to Bill Veeck, and I agree with him)

I got tired of baseball after the 2nd strike. It used to be a fun game. But a bunch of rich jerks spoiled it...

I just hope they don't end up doing the same for the NFL...

How were the rules changed to make the game less fun?

The NFL gets away with a lot more than baseball. they could lockout next season and in 5 years peolpe will forget about it, but continue to talk about baseball's last strike as if it were yesterday. 20% of the last 15 championships were won by the marlins and d-backs. 5 different winners in the last 5 years. pay the haters no mind

RE: Bum bum bum buh-buh-duh buh-buh-duh
I just lost interest in baseball, which is a pity. I played AAA ball in the Pirates farm system back in the 1970s. I've got my Governor's Cup ring to prove it. After I shattered my ankle sliding into 2nd, I umpired Little League and American Legion games. The attitudes of the parents soured me on Little League. I never had any problems with the kids. Drunken slobs soured me on American Legion ball. The strikes happened during that period too. All of it together was enough to cause me to lose interest in baseball, and I've never recaptured it...

I still watch the playoff. But I could care less about the regular season. It's just not the same for me any longer...

Not really. I grew up watching the Reds. The Big Red Caravan used to come through WV to drum up support quite a bit, and in the days of the Big Red Machine they had a lot of converts too...
