I was surprised when I realized today that my NCAAbbs account dates back to July 2004, and then I started wondering who the oldest Parliamentarian is. A quick glance through current threads suggests that it might be Orange County Owl, who appeared in November 2003.

NCAAbbs has been a great home.

I, like many others, migrated after Owlzone disappeared. It took some of us a little while to migrate, especially those like me who had no contacts with OZ people outside of the forum, thus no real way of finding my way here.

They co-existed for some period of time, but prior to the disappearance of Owlzone, there were very few posts here. Mostly it was LauraMac and OwlJacket. I'd expect there is a critical mass that joined in late spring 2005.

Going back in time, the earliest post by a Parliamentarian (or did we settle on MP?) appears to be this one by Owl 76-03-06:

I confess to knowing very little about UCF's baseball program, but I know that Conference USA overall is going to be a really fine baseball conference. I'm really glad that Rice made the move.

I'm glad Rice will be reunited with UH too... maybe we'll get some better coverage in the Houston media. (Yes, I know it's a long shot, but it could happen!) And if TCU stays, then we'll have Rice, SMU, TCU, and UH all together... consolidation could be good, I think.

speaking of lauramac and owljacket -- i'm gonna have to nominate them for the milk carton award this year. where have they gone?! particularly miss lmac's humor.

You woulda seen both if you'd come by either the Come and Tailgate It or my tailgate at UAB.

BTW, looking back, it looks like we ran about 8 threads a month from 11/2003 through 5/2005. Then Owlzone went dark and we had 225 threads in June 2005 alone.

This thread got me curious so I had to go look for my born on date. I joined on November 5, 2003, but didn't post until December 13, 2003, and have posted very infrequently since then, but I do lurk quite a bit.

Owljacket got himself banned. I think LMac's interest kind of waned.

i'll be glad when my son is older and has more patience for my tailgating! sorry i missed them.
