Taco John's - had that out west, not bad stuff - but it has been a while since I've had it, probably over 20 years.

There's a Taco John's in Athens, OH. I grew up over in that area and never realized it was a chain. I always liked it much better than Taco Bell. Their meat and potato burrito is great.

We also have a Sub House (also locations in Vandalia and Dayton). I like it because it has a bar so you can drink a beer with your sub. Their red pepper relish on their subs is awesome.

There is a Maid-Rite in Greenville, Ohio. (I need to try it some day).

We also have a Sonic in Troy. I found Sonic when I was stationed at Ft Leonard Wood, Mizzu back in 2000-2002. The one in Troy opened maybe 3 yrs ago, and seems to not have as extensive of a menu as I remember from Mizzu.

Driving through Texas one time and stopped at a Wimpy's subs. Very good.

Have you tried hoagies pizza? If not, get off the computer and go get one.

it will change our life

Used to have Pasquales in Indianapolis & our high school money was often spent there on great tasting steak hogies. Sadly, the Pasquales here were so bad, they mostly went out of business. Good to know there is one still open.

I like Angelo's steak hogies. They coat the bun with butter before toasting it.

As for Maid Rite. They are out of Iowa. Didn't know they had one in Ohio. Need to make a road trip.

Id love to find a good sub place that isnt Subway or Quiznoa.

There was and maybe still is a place called Sub House in dayton that was alright.

There is a Sonic on Eastgate Blvd, and one in Milford. There are at least two in Hamilton. I think they also have one in West Chester.

You betcha, on Cincinnati-Dayton Road in front of Wal-Mart.

Sonic's menu sucks. I work in that area and I went through there the other night. After reading the menu, I moved on and didn't order.

Is Maid Rite the loose meat sandwich place?
My brother used to live in Omaha and we went there a couple times and that stuff is awesome if that's the same restaurant that I'm thinking of.

Yes, it is. Out of Iowa.

After years of being regional and having issues such as inconsistant quality at franchisees, they seem to be back on their game and are out aggresively opening new markets. A Maid-Rite is opening in Piqua soon.

I think the "Maid-Rite" in Greenville was at one time a franchise operation, but may be independent now.

I've never had a better breakfast burrito then the one the serve at Nico's Taco Shop in Tucson, AZ (there are 4 locations). Winner of "Best in Tucson" for burrito's since 2005.
