This guy likes to mention over and over how the MAC is not a major conference. I guess that makes him a minor league announcer.

About the most uninspired play-by-play and color commentary I have heard. They are making this game a snooze.

On another note, I never thought I'd see football players on the sideline holding freakin umbrellas. This is football!
[TomHanks] There are no umbrellas in football![/TomHanks]

How do you take a football player seriously holding an umbrella on the sideline? That's embarrassing. Man the **** up! Sheesh.

Having someone hold an umbrella for you may be worse. No umbrellas on the sidelines!

I found it interesting that the announcer guy said this is Ohio's biggest game in decades. They've played in 2 MAC Championship games in the last four or five years, and a couple of bowl games. How was this game any bigger than those games?

I didn't see the umbrella thing as I missed part of the game. What the F is that? That's on a Miley Cyrus, Party in the USA level.

Yea, he acts like the MAC is a whole different (lower) level than the major conferences, as though Toledo didn't beat Purdue and NIU didn't beat Minnesota this year. Any of the better MAC teams have a good shot against the lesser Big 10 teams (not that that's saying all that much, really), even though they're almost always road games. Yes, if you put EMU against Ohio State it's a different story, but you could say that about most conferences.

I agree, that comment made no sense.

I didn't see the umbrellas either - was that both sides, or one team?

The umbrellas were on the Ohio side.

The folks on the Temple side were standing under Al's big varsity jacket.

Those announcers were awful.... Absolutely awful last night, it was painful to listen to that.

Both the Play by Play and the color commentator (if you can call them that) are out done by the guys who do High School Football on public access..

This guy is a clown. During the UAB-UCF game he criticized UAB for punting the ball right after they got done going for it on 4th down.

I don't know. David Norrie was awfully complimentary to NIU the last two weeks. Maybe he just knows football. 05-stirthepot

Gotta believe the umbrellas should be in ESPN's Not Top Ten Highlights this week.
