On to Buffalo
Looking forward to this game (and on television to boot).

UB has a very poor offense and a poor defense (I have the conference stats linked here).

http://www.nmnathletics.com/fls/9400/Sta...nfonly.htm

I'm hoping for a 28 - 17 (or 28 - 21) win.

We need an encouraging showing 'cause we have NIU the week after and NIU can bring the lumber.

Neither the EMU or UB athletic websites list TV information for the game. Where is it being broadcast?

Show Time Ohio is on DirecTV, etc. and I believe on the regional sports in Detroit and Buffalo, etc.

This is a very important game for EMU. Maybe even a "must win". 2 wins will show recruits that progress is being made. It'll also give this program something to build off of. This is a game that EMU should finally hold their opponent under 20 pts.

RE: On to Buffalo
I would agree Wooden, this is an important game if EMU can finish 2-9 I would agree it would give some hope to English in keeping his job. Next year he can win the two gimmes on the schedule and if he wins 2 or more MAC games it allow Gragg to say progress has been made.

It won't hurt recruiting and while 2-9 would be an improvement over the winless season of last year I'm not sure what our recruiting strategy is these days except to hit more JUCOs.

And besides a win over Buffalo backs up my prediction of 2-4 wins I made prior to the season commencing.

I'll do a good developments and bad developments in my opinion of course after the season ends.

Per the EMU release...
"Locally and throughout the state of Michigan, the contest will be televised on Comcast Michigan (Digital Cable Channel 900). Additionally, the game will also be shown on Sports Time Ohio, ESPN Game Plan and ESPN3.com".

The UT game was supposed to be on Comcast also. It was even on the on-screen guide so I DVR'ed it. When I got home from the game and wanted to review a few key plays all I found was 3 hours of infomercials on the DVR.04-chairshot

Hope it's not the same play-by-play guy from Sports Time Ohio that did the EMU-MIA game. That guy was horrendous. Luckily WEMU had the same delay so I could mute the TV and listen to Shep and Rob.

RE: On to Buffalo
Just realized that the FB team and the BB team will both be in Buffalo on Saturday at 2PM (Canisius is in Buffalo too - had to look it up). Too bad they can't move the hoops game to the evening so that EMU folks can attend both games.01-wingedeagle

If we were still the HURONS, we would skin the hides of the mighty and proud Buffalo to clothe our families in the dead of Wintertime.

As Eagles, we are 7-point dogs.
