Well look what I found (Darryl Garrett)....
Apparently Darryl Garrett has surfaced at Lincoln Memorial University and is listed as a Junior....
LMU played Middle Tennessee State in an exhibition where he scored 18.
He then scored 17 in their regular season opener.

RE: Well look what I found (Darryl Garrett)....
this is the best news ever. i'm going to follow them all season. too bad none of their away games are closer than NC. i'd be willing to drive 2 hours to see DG play (although he'd probably be suspended for the game).

he was one of my favorites at EMU.

Does D-II not have any standards (assuming it is D-II).

I believe DG has been out of h.s. 7 years this coming June (I'm not talking dog years, I mean human years 03-melodramatic)

D-I is 5 years unless 2 medical redshirts.

Maybe he went on a church mission. 05-nono

I don't know what division they are...
But they play schools with names like Transylvania, Wingate and Mars Hill.

I checked out the website.

LMU plays Jim Boone's Tusculum team twice this season.

Talk about a strange, strange, strange...

what about Chris Weinke? wasn't he 27 when he graduated? i remember a guy in his mid-20s playing hoops for a smaller D-1 team in Kentucky a few years ago as well.

maybe the rules are different if you don't have a scholarship? i'm just thinking out loud here. i have no good answer.

there was also that guy in his 50s or 60s that suited up for one game for a school in Co or WY a few years ago. i don't remember that story fully.

someone with a much better memory might be able to help here.

Always thought Garrett had a ton of potential. 26 years old and a junior ... hope he finds his way soon!

Ball State Football had a circa 35-year old defensive tackle a couple years ago (military vet). He was one of their better players.

The 5 year clock starts when they enter college, not graduate HS. Must be some strange rules in Garrett's case.

Whatever happened to Rico Harris. I haven't checked the crime blotter lately.

Nice find! Even nicer goatee. I checked the State of Michigan prisoner list for Rico but no deal. I hope DG has a triple-double on Boone and gets a T for dunking on Boones son and hanging on the rim above him

I wonder if Boone is still sipping on a Diet Coke on the side line and going ballistic on the refs at a moments notice... I don't believe in Zodiac signs BUT if there was ever such a thing as a Gemini (sp?) He was the poster child
