True story:

My department is hiring a new Ph. D. in Appied Economics and we interviewed yesterday.

Everything was going great with one of the candidates until she put up the a slide intended to give us some bacground on her that included the UCF pegasus thing. I audibly said, "Oh, no, not UCF." I had really liked her presentation to that point.

(Take it easy ka-niggets. I really liked her and think she may get the job.)

Don't hire her... she is clueless if she thought she could use that slide at an ECU presentation...

WHEREAS, for the first time in history, the UCF Knights are the
highest ranked college football team in Florida ahead of traditional
powerhouses such as the University of Florida Gators, the Florida
State Seminoles and the Miami Hurricanes, according to college
football coaches; and

WHEREAS, UCF debuted in the Associated Press poll at number 25; and

WHEREAS, during its current five game winning streak, UCF has doubled
its opponents on the scoreboard 207 – 103 while averaging 41.4 points

WHEREAS, if UCF can win its final regular season home game against
Southern Miss on Saturday, the Knights will most assuredly clinch the
East Division slot in the 2010 Conference USA championship game on

Whether you win by 1 or 40 a lose is a lose. UCF fans should understand this concept considering their record against BCS opponents. Then again, UCF fans love moral victories like barely losing to kansas st and NCSU. Yeah it hurt to get pounded but in the scheme of things it makes little difference what the score was. Now go tell your mayor to get back on the street corner for UCF.

Maybe UCF can give tickets to all the cheaters. That would fill the stadium QUICK!!!

What's wrong with having specials and promotions? I guess advertising and mayor support is small time? At least we're not giving away $5 seats...although I wish we would.

It has come to my attention recently that UCF (the team in which we were able to score 30+ points against) has enlisted the support of the city Mayor. Although we do not have the support of the Mayor of Greenville (UNC fan) we do want to point out that Texas has not had their Mayor release a statement about their teams this year. So...will the USM game sell out on Saturday? UCF has done everything short of using cardboard cutouts to fill the seats, and yet I don't think they have even come close to a SELL out (not counting freebie tix) in what is arguably one of (if not THE) best seasons in their program's history.

Young fanbase, ticket prices, game times, etc. etc. Reality is our main fanbase is not 45k and won't be in time for the game saturday. Yeah, we'll get some casual guys who like to see the # next to our name, but we have the same problems the rest of the league (including ECU before the last 3 or 4 years) have.

ECU fans become more defensive and pathetic by the day.

I suppose the Mayor of Greenville, NC would promote something like this:

"Come Cheer ECU Day, Because Really- There's Nothing Else to Do!"

How many do you expect to come back after sitting through the 76pts Navy hung on you guys? I believe only about 1,500 remained for the whole game, so you're probably lucky the others left before it got too out of hand.

How many do you expect to come back after sitting through the 76pts Navy hung on you guys? I believe only about 1,500 remained for the whole game, so you're probably lucky the others left before it got too out of hand.

The next home game will hurt attendance anyways with it being on black friday, but hopefully we can win the next two games to help that out.
