Guys we need a big crowd for the game on ESPNU tomorrow. Byrd has been out promoting it and talked of how important it is at the tipoff lunch. Need good representation on ESPN. Tell your friends.

Evidently Northern State is pretty good having led Oklahoma for 3/4 of the game and playing Creighton tough. Should be a good game for a good cause on ESPNU!

I'll be there!

I plan to be there and I'll be bringing others too. I have been waiting to see the 2011-12 version of the team.

I got on Lipscomb's web site to see what they were saying about the game. It's only their own legendary coach that is being honored a couple of miles down the road. But, I was having trouble finding any mention of it.

I'll be working the game tomorrow which is always a struggle when ESPN is involved. From what I've heard it's going to be a good one! I have been to a few of the practices this season and our team is looking pretty dang good, it's going to be exciting to see how things go in a non inter-squad game. I'm also interested to see if Byrd treats the game as a real game because it's on ESPNU or if he uses it as a true exhibition and tries to get all players equal time on the court.

Getting good publicity for the game, which is something I often complain about. I do feel that lack of exposure hurts the program. Well, we're getting some exposure for this exhibition game. I hope it pays off in fans.

I got the impression from what I have heard from Byrd that he is going to play this more like a regular game since most of our team will be in the rotation anyway except walk-ons.

I will be there as well and even though we harassed Coach Meyer in years gone by, he is certainly worthy of honoring and I am frankly stunned that lip didn't find a way to work out having this at their place. I know they said they had scheduling conflicts and maybe they did everything they could as we certainly don't have all the details.

I am also curious to see how many lip fans show up and cheer for NS. I too am loving the added exposure both locally and nationally.

Has anybody heard anything definitive about this game is at Belmont and not at Lipscomb?

Coach Byrd hinted at something about "scheduling conflict" with Lipscomb, but you'd think with both ESPN and Don Meyer involved other things can be scheduled around.

I've heard rumors, but they're the kinds of rumors I'm hoping aren't true.

No rumor. The game is at Belmont and doesn't involve DLU. Strange? Slightly...o.k. really strange. But the game is at the Curb Center and DLU isn't even promoting it. Sort of a slap at coach don't you think with the "scheduling conflicts" and not really bringing it up?

Especially when you consider that ESPN wanted Lipscomb. Somebody at DLU said no, and that somebody's "No" carried enough clout to overrule every common sense reason you might think of to say "yes."

As (maybe) the last Lipscomb fan on the Internet, I want to know who said "No," and I want to know why they're still working at the university.

Absolutely disgusting.
