Several sources told The Post that Memphis and East Carolina, which have long desired membership in the Big East, are not favorably-viewed by a majority of league members.

Lenn Robbins is the same person whow as "leaked" the Big East expansion plans lastweekend. He's "in the know".

This won't do anything. They'll still deny and think they have a shot.

Well, that's certainly a shot in the pants to all the ECU fans who insist that they bring buckets of value.

We already knew that about Memphis, though.

That is fine if they don't want us. Sucks for us if it is true, but I'll wait to see what happens. It isn't over until they invite someone and they accept.

I also like the posts by non ECU fans that think they are crazy for not adding ECU.

I'm sure the FB schools don't favor Memphis because of it's past and current FB status and the same can be said for the BB members concernng ECU's BB program.

The NY post knows Jack and s!!t, they weren't in the meeting and know as much as the rest of us. Ever news story naming teams is commentary and rumor. Only those in the meetings really know. The BE hasn't released any name, until then it's best guess and who likes what school, most writers today have angle their working, and a lot started out as bloggers. Until the BE has a live presser take everything with a grain of salt.

If the reports of FB only invites are correct...It is going to be interesting to see if TCU/UCF/UH decide to take a FB only invite. I wonder if any of this group will be called "desperate" by those that chose to use that term in regard to ECU and Terry Holland?

I have consistently maintained that TCU and UCF are logical candidates and if the BE does not invite them...there are real problems in the leadership.
I wish both of them success.

It's Going to be very difficult for our fan bases to continue to hate each other if you guys keep saying stuff like this

Look on the brightside - if ucf gets in then atleast we will not have to deal with their mega annoying fan base.

Nah, they will go full out on the BE boards - annoying the hell out of their rivals posters, and the whole time claiming they belong in the ACC. Be careful what you wish for BE fans.
